In a confrontation captured on video, James O’Keefe and O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) confronted Jamie Mannina, a now former senior Pentagon advisor and former FBI special agent, over his comments made about working with retired generals to ‘protect people from Trump.’
The encounter, taking place in Washington, D.C., began with O’Keefe questioning Jamie about the hidden camera footage, which purportedly shows Mannina discussing political activities and plans involving retired military officials. Mannina immediately became defensive, repeatedly denying the statements, claiming, “I didn’t say anything, despite O’Keefe’s insistence that they were on video. “You’re on video saying these things,” O’Keefe asserted, showing evidence of the claims.
O’Keefe maintained his composure, emphasizing the public’s right to know about the activities of government officials. “There’s a First Amendment in this country,” O’Keefe reminded Mannina, countering Mannina’s repeated claims that he did not have permission to use the footage. “We have a right to record on these streets,” O’Keefe stated.
The exchange took an even more intense turn when Mannina resorted to personal verbal attacks, calling O’Keefe “a known liar” and “a known fraud.” O’Keefe asked, “What have I lied about?” asking Mannina to specify any instance of false reporting. Mannina avoided providing evidence, instead repeating his sentiment, “You’re a known liar. You’re a known fraud,” before making a hasty retreat, leaving the scene to avoid further questioning.
This confrontation follows OMG’s release of undercover footage that detailed Mannina’s admission to conversations about plans involving retired generals to take potential actions against President-elect Donald Trump.
