James O’Keefe is a renowned American investigative journalist and media innovator known for using undercover footage, whistleblowers, and unconventional flare in his reporting. He has founded three media organizations over his 20-year career, was the Founder and Chairman of Project Veritas and currently serves as the CEO of O’Keefe Media Group (OMG). OMG was founded after perhaps his most viewed investigation ever, an exposé of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and is dedicated to empowering citizen journalists to replicate his model of exposing corruption and fraud. OMG’s mission is to empower and equip a movement of thousands of citizen journalists through the distribution of hidden cameras, masterclasses, and seminars to effectively decentralize investigative journalism. O'Keefe's two decades of investigative journalism has led to the passage of new legislation, federal and state investigations, congressional inquiries, and defunding of state programs and federal entities. His litigation of defense of the first amendment has led to laws being overturned. The unconstitutional FBI raids against him and his reporters led to defense by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. A graduate of Rutgers, he founded a newspaper in college called the Centurian. He is the author of three books, including the New York Times best seller breakthrough, “American Muckraker”, a treatise on investigative reporting in the digital era.
